My NaNoWriMo Progress

I'm never doing this again. Well, not the NaNo thing. I'm going to keep up the daily writing, but writing tripe just to make a deadline? No need to do that. I've proven I can do it.

Now I need to prove that I can write.

Too funny for words.

YMB'scrack investigative team has unearthed the long rumored, but neverconfirmed, collaboration from 1983 between Marvel's Chairman EmeritusStan Lee and religious comic tract creator Jack Chick.

Long outof print and now only infrequently stumbled upon in the odd truck stopbathroom (as all good religious witnessing tracts should be) YMB is nowable to present to you "Galactus is Coming!"

Every word is crap. I mean, every word. This is never leaving my hard drive, except when I put it in the recycling bin.

Dot Kinkaid seems to have it all. She's one of the most popular girls in her class, a cheerleader who's also in the computer club. She has a loving father and distant but supportive sister, a terrific boyfriend and a killer secret.
Dot is one of the Godtouched, a descendent of the Norse gods with a bit of power of their own. Her sister is a Valkyrie, shield-maiden and escort of the dead. And her father is the God of Thunder.
Which is where her problems begin. Her uncle, a fellow by the name of Loki, plans to rule the world, or destroy it.
And it seems Dot is a part of those plans....

Consider this the back cover or something.

I have my idea.

I have my rough outline.

I have six thousand, five hundred twenty songs in iTunes. Granted, all the Christmas songs are turned off right now.

I'm pumped.

Let's rock.

I'm high.

Two years ago, I did this, and promptly got sick, forcing me to pull out.

Last year, I committed to this, and got sick before it even began, forcing me to pull out.

Going by that progression, I should already be sick.

But why should I let that stop me?

NaNoWriMo 2006 Participant

Wish me luck.
